I should start by introducing myself.
I am an independent hockey scout, based out of St. Catharines, Ontario. From a young age, I have had a passion for hockey, which never went away. I have always appreciated the sport, whether it is at the professional or amateur level. The management aspect of the sport has always been just as interesting as the games themselves.
I am currently studying Sport Management at Brock University. I previously aspired to a career in policing and graduated from the Police Foundations program at St-Lawrence College. After being unsuccessful in my attempts to begin a career in the field, I decided to follow my passion and begin making my mark in the hockey community.
With that in mind, this seems like an ideal time to start putting pen to paper, figuratively, and sharing my experiences. This site will allow me to write about my opinions, projections, and evaluations. It will feature content from the National Hockey League (NHL), American Hockey League (AHL), Canadian Hockey League (CHL), and various hockey related matters that arise.
In the near future, you can expect previews, observations, and outcomes from the CHL playoffs, and updates from the thrilling race for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. I will finalize my draft rankings shortly after the Memorial Cup, and will conduct a mock draft in the days leading to the NHL Entry Draft.
In a more distant future, I will continue to provide prospect reports for emerging new players, and reflect upon my projections. I will assess where I was right, where I was wrong, address why, and what we can learn from the assessment.
I am opinionated, determined, and confident in my understanding of the sport. Like most hockey people I have met, I never shy away from a discussion or debate. You can contact me using the contact tool on this website.
